MICRO-BARREL ABRASIVE AND BARRELING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new barreling method capable of polishing a surface of a polishing object having an intricate shape and provide an abrasive used for it. SOLUTION: In this micro-barreling method, the abrasive 20 put in a barrel 11 is brought into contact with the polishing object 30, ultrasonic waves 12 are made to act on the abrasive 20 in the barrel 11 to shake the abrasive 20. The abrasive 20 is composed of mixed particles containing media particles having an average diameter of 0.1-100μm and polishing particles having an average diameter of 0.001-20μm smaller than that of the media particles. High polymer particles or metal particles are used as the media particles.
