PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material and a recording sheet, not causing fogging and excellent in a dynamic color development sensitivity, especially, in resistance to wet heat, resistance to heat, resistance to light, resistance to plasticizer, resistance to water or the like. SOLUTION: The recording material contains at least respective one kind of a color development dye, a compound (1) and a diphenyl sulfonic compound having at least one or more of hydroxide group in a substitute group while the recording sheet is provided with a recording material layer formed of the recording material.
