PURPOSE: A polyurethane sole containing a printed design layer and its preparation method are provided, to allow the printed design of the printed design layer formed between an outsole and a midsole to be seen through the outsole. CONSTITUTION: The polyurethane sole comprises an outsole which is transparent or semitransparent; a printed film (a printed design layer) which is placed above the outsole and where a desired design is printed; and a midsole which is placed above the printed film and is made of a foamed polyurethane material. Preferably the outsole is prepared from an unfoamed polyurethane or a rubber material. The printed film is made of a synthetic resin film, and a desired design is printed on the film by screen printing or transcription on the synthetic resin film.
