PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine and a control method of the same capable of easily discriminating a temperature zone of a selected item before input determining operation of an item selection by a numeric keypad push button. SOLUTION: The control method of the vending machine, which includes the numeric keypad push button 2 for inputting an item number and selecting an item a person wants to purchase, and a display 6 for displaying the inputted item number, and sells at least one item of a warm item or a cool item in response to an set operation state of a heating operation mode or a cooling operation mode, displays the item number in red on the display 6 when the warm item is selected by input operation from the numeric keypad push button 2, and displays the item number in blue on the display 6 the cool item is selected.
