PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device and a transfer method capable of evenly impressing pressure between a circular original disk and a substrate. SOLUTION: The transfer device transfers a minute pattern on the substrate 13 by roll press and is characterized by having a drum 11 formed by sticking the circular original disks 12 having minute information patterns in a plurality of columns so that the centers of the original disks 12 are shifted among columns.
