PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the piezoelectric vibrator of stable characteristics with no unwanted resonance between a main vibration resonance frequency and an antiresonance frequency in the piezoelectric vibrator with thickness longitudinal vibrations, with which zinc oxide is used for piezoelectric materials and a polarizing direction is turned toward the thickness direction of a piezoelectric board, as main vibrations. SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric vibrator, a ratio Le/H of an electrode length Le for excitation and vibrator thickness H is >=4 and <=13. In such a structure, since an inharmonic overtone does not satisfy energy sealing conditions, there is an effect that there is no unwanted resonance between the main vibration resonance frequency and the antiresonance frequency and stable characteristics can be provided.
