A colour blended warp knitted fabric comprises at least one warp composed of threads the filaments of each of which are of a contrasting colour, for example, half the filaments are black and the other half white, and another warp or warps is or are composed of threads the filaments of each of which being undyed or of a colour contrasting with the colours of the filaments of the yarns of the first warp. The first warp may be knitted with long flat threads on a 'background of the other warp and the fabric may be brushed and shorn and overdyed.
