The alloy is in particulate form and an adherent coating of tungsten oxide is disposed upon the surface of the particles. The coated alloy particles are held together by a P.T.F.E. binder on a carbon paper substrate. Preferably, the alloy also includes rhodium to increase its surface area. The electrode may be used in a fuel cell in which the fuel is hydrogen and the electrolyte is H 3 PO 4 . |
