PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballpoint pen, in which two kinds of ballpoint pen refills different in total lengths and outer diameter dimensions from each other can be exchangeably and respectively storable under the condition that no lowering of the writing performance of a stored ballpoint pen refill develops and the ballpoint pen refill can be easily stored. SOLUTION: In a barrel, a tapered first holding part, which is projected inwards in order to hold the rear end part of a first ballpoint pen refill is provided and further on the rear end side than the first holding part in the barrel, a second holding part, which is provided so as to hold the rear end part of the second ball pen refill, which is longer than the first ballpoint pen refill and the outer diameter of an ink housing tube of which is smaller than that of the first ballpoint pen refill. The first holding part is also used as a guide part for guiding the rear end part of the second ballpoint pen refill to the second holding part at the housing of the second ballpoint pen refill. At the same time, at the first holding part and at the second holding part, air circulating passages for circulating air under the state that the rear end parts of the first ballpoint pen refill and of the second ballpoint pen refill are respectively held at the first holding part and at the second holding part are formed. In addition, on the tip side beyond the first holding part, a detachable fitting shaft part is provided so as to allow the first ballpoint pen refill or the second ballpoint pen refill housed in the barrel to be replaced with the second ballpoint pen refill or with the first ballpoint pen refill. |
