PURPOSE: An automatic interpretation apparatus using a conversation model and a method thereof are provided to analyze language using the conversation model, to predict a candidate of a next writing with the results of the language analysis, and to translate the writing with reference to a translation example database based on the conversation model, thereby making the recognition rate of voice. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus includes a voice recognition unit(100), a language analysis unit(110), a language translation unit(120), a voice composition unit(130), a conversation mode database(140) and a translation sample database(150). The voice recognition unit(100) is used to input a writing for interpreting by user's voice. The voice composition unit(130) is used to out the translated writing to the user by voice. Also, when a user enters a writing for interpreting through a keypad, the entered contents is analyzed directly, not through the voice recognition unit(100), and outputted the translation result by character.
