PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide belt realizing price-reduction and low power consumption of an electrophotographic device with respect to the polyimide belt used for the electrophotographic device such as a laser beam printer or a facsimile equipment. SOLUTION: A tertiary amine compound is mixed into a polyimide precursor solution of which the characteristics of resin produced by molding and imidation are to be controlled by introducing inorganic fine particles such as a metallic filler or carbon black thereto. The polyimide belt with extremely high tear propagation strength is obtained by subsequent molding of the precursor solution into a belt shape, drying and imidation. Thereby a lift of a polyimide belt component is lengthened and, at the same time, thickness of the belt is made thin. On the whole, to provide the electrophotographic device with the polyimide belt installed therein at a low cost and to lower the power consumption are simultaneously attained.
