PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high permittivity glass fiber capable of obtaining a printed wiring board with sufficiently high permittivity, without poor impregnation of matrix resin. SOLUTION: The high permittivity glass fiber is provided with the glass fiber and metallic oxide layer formed on surface of the glass fiber, and the high permittivity glass fiber is characterized in that the metallic oxide layer contains the metallic oxide showed with below general formula (1). [(Bax Sr1-x )(Tiy Zr1-y )]O3 ...(1) (wherein, x and y are the number of >=0, <=1, independent to each other).
