PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder which can perform high accuracy machining without producing any offset and distortion of the tool holder, can generate a stable gripping force because of small fictional resistance and small operating force, and can improve the machining accuracy to theμm order. SOLUTION: A slotted hole 13 communicating with an inside of a recessed groove 12 is formed on a side surface of a draw bar 9. In the neighborhood of a taper shank portion 5 of a holder body 2, a slant through hole 14 communicating with the inside of the recessed groove 12 via the slotted hole 13 is formed from a front end side toward an rear end side of the holder body 2. A draw member 15 is rotatably screwed into a threaded portion 11 formed on the recessed groove 12 of the draw bar 9. A connecting engagement part 16a is formed at a central portion of a tip of the draw member 15. A engaging means 16b of an operating means 18 inserted from the slant through hole 14 through the slotted hole 13 is engaged and connected with the connecting engagement part 16a.
