The stage for inside installation is made up from a number of platforms which can be adjusted and set at varying heights by hoist mechanisms. Each of these platforms is fitted with bolts for attachment to side supports at a number of different height settings. The hoist mechanism is mounted on a travelling chassis and can be moved under each of the platforms. The side supports may have bolt holes one above another, the platforms being fitted with displaceable bolts, each with a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder for insertion into the holes. The chassis may travel on rails extending over the whole length of the stage beneath the platform and it may be motor driven.
