PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide scissors having a new structure capable of preventing injury caused by touching a sharp blade of scissors by mistake, and preventing damaging of the scissor blades. SOLUTION: A pair of blade members (6 and 7), each of which has a grip (2) provided on one end and a blade (4) formed on the other end, are combined through a hinge shaft (8) so as to mutually rotate. A user holds the grips (2) to rotate the blade members (6 and 7) in a spreading direction or a narrowing direction for cutting various items using the blades (4), wherein a spring (10) is equipped for urging the blade members (6 and 7) in a mutually adjacent direction. When the user releases the grips (2), the blade members (6 and 7) automatically rotate in the mutually adjacent direction and revert in an original position. Thereby, the accidents can be prevented.
