PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for terminating wire/wireless originating calls at the optimum conditions is provided to terminate a call to a telephone selected according to various conditions set by a service user. CONSTITUTION: A destination number selection apparatus consists of a phone number and lot number management part(41), a state information management part(42), a space information management part(43), a termination condition setup part(44), a termination condition operation part(45), a network interworking part(46), and a short message transmission part(47). The phone number and lot number management part(41) stores a phone number, a lot number, a name, and other information for an originating or terminating call. The state information management part(42) manages state information, such as a business day off state for each destination candidate point, etc. The space information management part(43) manages location information and attribute information for destination candidate points and origination points and geographical information for major points. The termination condition setup part(44) sets up termination conditions. The termination condition operation part(45) executes operation for a point and a specific person that can execute a caller's service request most efficiently, based on the information inputted from the phone number and lot number management part(41), the state information management part(42), the space information management part(43), and the termination condition setup part(44). The network interworking part(46) transmits a calling signal to a mobile network(20) or a wired switching network(50) according to the termination conditions operated at the termination condition operation part(45). The short message transmission part(47) transmits a work instruction order to the mobile switching center of the mobile network(20) in case that a destination point is a mobile phone and a work instruction is required.
