PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular bulb having a sealing section free from any breakage or cracks without easy fall of a sleeve by modifying joint area of a sleeve member, where the sleeve member is joined with a crush sealing section of the bulb end composed of a quartz glass tube, and to provide a bulb lighting device equipped with the tubular bulb. SOLUTION: A tubular bulb L1 comprises: a bulb 1 composed of a quartz glass tube with a tube section and crush sealing sections 2 on the tube section's ends; sealing bodies 5, where the sealing body 5 is sealed within the crush sealing section 2 of the bulb 1; a long filament 3 stretched and connected between the sealing bodies 5 in the bulb 1; an inactive gas enclosed in the bulb 1; and sleeve members 6, where the crush sealing sections 2 is covered with the sleeve member 6, and a top opening section 61 side on a cylindrical body 6A strides over the tube and crush sealing sections of the bulb 1 and is joined to the crash sealing section 2 via an adhesive 7. A bulb lighting device 8 is equipped with the tubular bulb L1.
