PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electric discharge lamp lighting equipment, which can prevent creeping discharge between electrodes of an electric discharge lamp having two or more pairs of electrodes on the external surface of one electric discharge container. SOLUTION: Between each the pair electrodes of the electric discharge light 4 arranged with two or more pairs of electrode 3a1, 3b1, 3a2, and 3b2 for making electric discharge occur in the transparent electric discharge container 1, along with the external surface of the electric discharge container 1, the electric discharge light 4 is energized by outputting high frequency electric power from high frequency voltage generating equipment 5A and 5B individually. In this case, the high frequency voltage generating equipment 5A and 5B impress the output voltage between the electrodes becoming as a pair to the same timing in accordance with a synchronized signal from synchronizing circuits 10A and 10B. |
