摘要 A wave propagating structure having broad bandwidth capability is disclosed for crossed field electron beam interaction devices. The thermal dissipation characteristics are programmed and customized taking into consideration beam coupling impedance, dielectric loading and suppression of undesired space harmonic modes. A structure such as a modified helix delay line is arranged with groupings of individual elements in parallel and such groupings are serially connected. A fluid coolant is circulated through the delay line and the dielectric constant characteristics of such coolant may be selected to vary the frequency determining dispersion parameters of predetermined portions of the propagating wave.
