PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a part position detecting method free for positioning a part with high accuracy, without being limited in the kinds of the electronic components and its device. SOLUTION: A rectilinear part 60a of the part is detected by setting a window 31, with respect to a photographing part 60, the part is scanned by using a scanning line 63 vertical with respect to this rectilinear part and a circumscribing line 65 to externally make contact with the part is found. A part center O is found, by making an inclination of the rectilinear part 60a with respect to a vertical axis or a horizontal axis a part inclination and using part dimensions provided from a part data. In such a constitution, as positional detection can be carried out by this detected rectilinear part and the part data by detecting at least one of the rectilinear parts, it becomes possible to position it with high accuracy, without receiving limitation as to the kinds of the components. |
