PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle image pickup device capable of capturing sceneries in a plurality of directions without distinguishing an image angle and an image pickup face using a single image pickup device. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle image pickup device 1 comprises the single image pickup device 7 on which filters having the same plurality of colors are arranged in each pixel, optical systems 9, 11, 13 and 15 for guiding lights 17L, 17R and 17F captured from sceneries in a plurality of directions to the image pickup device 7, one or more dichroic filters arranged on the optical path of the lights 17L, 17R and 17F, for extracting a light component of colors, each of which is used in the color filter and is different each other in color, out of each light 17L, 17R and 17F, and for combining the extracted each light component to guide on the image pickup element 7, an image processing portion 4 for generating the image signal of the sceneries in a plurality of directions according to color signals obtained from the image pickup element 7, and a display device 5 for displaying each image signal generated in the image processing portion 4.
