PURPOSE: A fly fishing reel is provided to improve the accuracy of drag adjustment, to extend a use lift thereof, to maximize a receiving length of a line and to facilitate the change work of a spool. CONSTITUTION: In the fly fishing reel that a spool(8) is rotatably supported within a spool housing(2) so that the rotation of the spool meets with resistance through the contact between a disk(26) and a frictional member(24), and the resistance force of the spool is applied along only one direction by an one-way clutch(68), the frictional member is fixed around a center shaft hole(22) of the spool housing, a first hollow shaft(28) is installed through the shaft hole to rotatably support a second hollow shaft(42) in order to make the frictional member facing to the disk. The center of the spool contains a ring nut(70) for successively receiving and fixing a spacer(66) and the one way clutch within a closed space(64) thereof. A plurality of balls compressed by a ring spring are arranged at the one end of the spacer so that a part of them are exposed toward the inner periphery of the spacer so as to be engaged with a groove(41) of the second hollow shaft.
