PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid form dispersion type foundation, which gives an excellent sensation of use without sticky feeling caused by oil, further the foundation keeps excellent dispersion without separating precipitates of pigment powders and others, also the foundation is excellent to keep storage stability of dispersion for long period. SOLUTION: The liquid form dispersion type foundation contains pigment powders being coated with fats and oils and xanthan gum is dispersed and formulated in a liquid base substantially containing no oil. The formulated amount of the xanthan gum is preferably 0.1 to 2.0% by weight in the whole amount of the foundation, and the layer of fats and oils coating the pigment powders preferably contains an ultraviolet absorber.
