PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breathable packaging material which can be improved in breathability, is simple in lamination structure and easy to manufacture, has no printed layer exposed on a surface, can be used in packaging a desiccant, dehumidifying agent, moisture absorbent, free-oxygen absorber, mothproofing agent, aromatic or the like and suitable in particular for use as a desiccant packaging material. SOLUTION: The breathable packaging material comprises a paper layer which weighs 30 to 42 g/cm<2> ; a breathable base layer comprising a nylon, polyvinyl alcohol, ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, vinylon, acetate and cellophane; a printed layer; a breathable adhesive layer comprising an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or the like with a percentage content of vinyl acetate of 6 to 30 wt.% and heat-bonding nonwoven fabric. These layers are laminated as structure of the material.
