PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat resistant member having low heat capacity, high corrosion resistance for the alkali which is obtained at a low cost and high productivity. SOLUTION: The heat resistant member is characterized that at least its surface has a structure where a high alumina matter fiber which contains more than 70 wt.% of alumina and high alumina matter particles which contain more than 70 wt.% of alumina are bound by an Inorganic binder, and also, a numerical value of (a weight ratio of high alumina matter fibers/a weight ratio of high alumina matter particles) increases from the surface toward the inside gradually. |
