PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a current image forming device that a paper sheet on a paper feeding tray should be eliminated for adjustment when adjusting an optical axis (pattern matching) and that is takes a lot of labor, and to provide an image forming device facilitated in the pattern matching operation. SOLUTION: A paper sheets position regulating mechanism 40 has a cross cursor 11, a cross cursor rail part 12 slidably supporting the cross cursor 11, and a rail position setting part for setting position of the rail part 12 in relation to the paper feeding tray 10. The rail position setting part (a long hole 55 and a screw 56) are provided at a pulling direction side (an arrow A side) of a slide operation range of the paper feeding tray 10. The cross cursor rail part 12 is slidably fitted in the paper cross direction in relation to the paper feeding tray 10, and optical axis is adjusted by operating the screw 56 to displace the rail part 12 in the paper sheets cross direction.
