PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front panel operation type ink-jet recording apparatus, from which an ink cartridge can be easily detached. SOLUTION: An assisting means 156 for assisting detachment of an ink cartridge is provided in an ink-jet recording apparatus, capable of executing a least supply of a recording medium before recording, discharge of the recording medium after recording, and detachment of an ink cartridge 152 on the same apparatus side surface. Thereby, since the ink cartridge detaching operation can be assisted at the time of the replacement operation of the ink cartridge by the user, even in the case the ink-jet recording apparatus is installed, for example at a lower position, the operator is not required to bend over for opening the front panel to look into the inside so that the ink cartridge replacement operation efficiency can be improved. |
