STABLE ASTAXANTHIN-CONTAINING POWDERY COMPOSITIONS AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

摘要

Stable astaxanthin-containing powdery compositions which are obtained by drying a suspension comprising ground astaxanthin-containing (Hematococcus) algae, a surfactant, an antioxidant, a filler and water. Thus, it is possible to provide astaxanthin-containing powdery compositions wherein astaxanthin contained in (Hematococcus) algae has been stabilized and its storage stability over a long time has been improved. Moreover, these powdery compositions have high fluidity as a powder, can be easily handled and can be easily extracted with a solvent without degrading astaxanthin.
