The gearwheel has a toothing (5) constructed on a separate cylindrical ring (4) which is fastened to at least one of the sidewalls (2,3). One of the sidewalls is constructed in one piece with a collar (2a) which extends along the center axis (1a) of the gearwheel in the direction of the other sidewall and upon which sits the latter sidewall. Each sidewall may be constructed in one piece with a cylindrical section of the collar, with the each cylindrical section extending along the center axis and abutting in the middle.
