The driving chain wheel arrangement has a number of arc-shaped segments positioned around the circumference of a circular hub installed concentrically around an axial component. The first (54) and second (56) end sections of each segment has an end relief (60) formed on it, and the arc-shaped segment has a number of flexible cantilever-type teeth (42) or slotted teeth formed upon it, whereby a pattern (50) with reduced cross section extends outwards. An Independent claim is included for an arc-shaped driving chain wheel segment incorporated in the aforesaid chain wheel arrangement.
