PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device 10 for collecting and processing the electrical signals produced form the heart of a patient. SOLUTION: Fewer than ten electrodes 12 to be attached to a patient are attached to respective positions of normal ten electrodes of the twelve lead ECGs. The device comprises a signal processing device 20 connected to the electrodes 12 for preparing twelve lead ECGs from the electric signals. The leads mathematically prepared by the signal processing device 20 are less than twelve.
