PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reveal a gene which encodes a aureobasidin sensitive protein or its functional derivative and provide various products or methods associated with the gene. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a gene which encodes the aureobasidin sensitive protein obtained from a mold, or its functional derivative, a cloning method using at least a part of the gene as a probe, methods for obtaining an antisense DNA or RNA of the gene, method to obtain a recombinant plasmid of the gene or a transformat thereof, the gene, or the like, a nucleic acid probe hybridizable with the above-mentioned gene and a method for detecting the gene by using the probe. The invention is useful in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases including mycoses.
