PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a nurse to identify a patient whom she is in charge for, by displaying a certain visual pattern assigned to a specified patient on an information display device, or by generating a certain tune through a loudspeaker, both being provided in an entrance area of a patient room. SOLUTION: The system of this invention possesses a controlling device 1 placed in a nurse center and information display devices D1, D2,...Dn placed in the entrance area of the patient room, being connected to the controlling device 1 through a transmission channel L1. The information display devices display various patient information on LCD by remote control. The controlling device has a display device 11 with a touch panel screen, which includes an input device 13, set-up buttons for assigning the patient to a team of nurses by way of visual patterns such as picture patterns of animals, plants or vehicles, a memory device 15 for storing information on the visual patterns that is entered through the input device 13 and displayed on the display devices, and a CPU 14 transmitting various information including the visual patterns generated in the controlling device through a transmission channel.
