PTC element with mounting system for PTC polymeric element

Within a preset expansion stretch in a main expansion direction a mounting (2) is designed to oppose expansion of a PTC polymer element (1) with a small counter force. The mounting has a limiting device (3) designed to oppose any further expansion in the PTC polymer element with a large counter force if the preset expansion stretch is exceeded, in order to limit the expansion of the PTC polymer element.
