<p>The invention relates to a device for manufacturing decorative stitches on goods made of leather or the like, used in particular for footwear production. According to the invention, the device comprises a longitudinal guide (7) having a part confined laterally by two inclined flat surfaces (7a, 7b), converging upwards, on which a leather article (1) to be sewn is moved, a folding arm (12), located over the longitudinal guide (7) for pulling the article towards the inclined surfaces (7a and 7b) and an arm (15)presses the leather article, said arm being transversal in relation to the longitudinal guide on which the leather article to be sewn is moved, the device being characterized by having the upper side of the longitudinal guide (7) provided with a tooth (10) projecting backwards, over which the leather article passes for stitching, behind said tooth a longitudinal rib (11) being provided at a lower level, said tooth (10), being linked to the longitudinal rib (11) by a semicircular profile so that the top of the tooth extends over the section where the needle pierces the article in order to manufacture said stitch.</p> |
