CREEP TEST APPARATUS FOR NUCLEAR REACTOR

PURPOSE: A creep test apparatus for a nuclear reactor is provided to achieve effective and uniform radioactive radiation to the gauge length and reduce parts count so as to minimize nuclear waste after completion of test. CONSTITUTION: A creep test apparatus(2) comprises a creep test unit installed in a vertical direction within a water reservoir of a nuclear reactor; a detector(10) electrically connected to the creep test unit, and which measures temperature and volume of transformation of specimen; a gas feed unit connected to the creep test unit through a gas feed pipe(12), and which controls supply of helium gas from a helium gas reservoir tank(14) through the air pressure of an air compressor(16); and a control unit(20) electrically connected to the detector and the gas feed unit, and which reads input data. The creep test unit includes a fixed member(26) to be assembled to the water reservoir; a pressure member arranged to the fixed member, and which operates by the pressure gas; a tension member for applying tension to the test piece by the pressure member; a heater member(32) assembled to the tension member, and which heats the test piece; a measurement member for measuring creep deformation amount by sensing the backward movement of the tension member; and a plurality of capsules(36) accommodating the pressure member, tension member, heater member and the measurement member in sequence.
