PURPOSE: A lens for an optical recording and reproducing system is provided to reduce the volume and the thickness occupied by the optical system for simplifying the assembling of the optical system into the entire system, wherein the recording and reproducing of information is carried out by using a single focusing lens without any objective lens. CONSTITUTION: A lens for an optical recording and reproducing system includes a light incident surface(30b) as a Schmidt Corrector surface for introducing light(35) generated from a light source, a first reflection surface(30c) for reflecting the light passing through the light incident surface, and a second reflection surface(30a) for reflecting the light reflected against the first reflection surface again, wherein the first and second reflection surfaces coated with a reflection material and the second reflection surface is spherical.
