摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a path detection circuit and method that detects a path with high accuracy in a delay profile for attaining assignment without waste, corresponding to number of fingers. SOLUTION: A delay profile generating circuit generates a delay profile, from a received signal including a plurality of delay signals and the path detection circuit detects a path from the delay profile. In this case, a maximum value detection means 122 of the path detection circuit outputs a sample point with maximum power among all sample points as a path, a path number count means 123 increments a path number count by one, each time the maximum value detection means 122 detects the path, and a path detection range control means 124 eliminates one entire peak, where a path is an apex every time the maximum value detection means 122 detects the path. Then until the count of the path number counter reaches a prescribed value, the maximum power detection, elimination of the peak of the signal power and the path number count-up are conducted repeatedly.
