PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner for image formation which begins to electrostatically be charged and suppresses a decrease in image density and a ghost even when used by a very small-sized printer or copying machine. SOLUTION: The magnetic toner used for an image forming method which carries the magnetic toner to a development part facing a latent image carrier by a toner carrier while forming a thin layer of the magnetic toner on the toner carrier, develops a latent image formed on the latent image carrier with the magnetic toner, and satisfies D1/D2<=0.5, D2<=30, and 55<=V, where D2 is the diameter (mm) of the toner carrier and V is the peripheral speed V (mm/ second) of the latent image carrier, is obtained by mixing inorganic particulates after organic processing externally with magnetic toner particles having at least binding resin and magnetic bodies and has particles of >=0.900 in the circularity (a) obtained from circularity a=L0 /L (where L0 is the circumferential length of a circle having the same projection area with a particle image and L is the circumferential length of the particle image) by >=80% in terms of a number based cumulative value. |
