PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more certainly detect the presence of movement of a detection object from a prescribed place. SOLUTION: A movement detection device 1 has an infrared detection part 2, a vibration detection part 3, a control part 4 with a timer 4a, a communication part 5 and a power supply part 6, and is installed to the movable detection object. The infrared detection part 2 detects a change of a light receiving quantity of infrared rays from the periphery of the detection object. The vibration detection part 3 detects vibration of the detection object. When the vibration detection part 3 detects the vibration within a prescribed time of the timer 4 a which starts to clock after the infrared detection part 2 detects the change of the infrared rays, the control part 4 decides that the detection object is moved, and outputs an abnormal signal to the outside via the communication part 5.
