PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of holding a tip of a conductor of a flat cable. SOLUTION: A retainer mounting hole 31 capable of mounting a retainer 60 is provided in a housing 21, and a tip of each conductor 14 of the flat cable 10 is inserted into the retainer mounting hole 31 to nip and hold it between the housing 21 and the retainer 60 by the retainer 60. Consequently, since floating and bending of the conductor 14 can be prevented, a contact pressure with a terminal fitting 73 on a mate side can be ensured to obtain stable continuity connection.
