PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the charge/discharge cycle property of a battery newly developed by an inventor wherein the capacity of a negative electrode is presented by the sum of a capacity component of a light metal when stored/ desorbed and a capacity component of the light metal when deposited/dissolved. SOLUTION: The battery comprises a positive electrode 21 having a positive electrode mixture layer (a positive electrode active material layer) on the surface of a positive electrode collector and the negative electrode 22 having a negative electrode mixture layer (a negative electrode active material layer) on the surface of a negative electrode collector, lapped and rolled with each other via a separator 23 containing an electrolyte to form a rolled electrode body (a rolled body) 20, wherein the capacity of the negative electrode 22 is presented by the sum of the capacity component of the light metal when stored/ desorbed and the capacity component of the light metal when deposited/ dissolved. A rolling looseness preventing member is inserted in a void 27 at the center of the rolled electrode body 20 for suppressing the rolling looseness of the rolled electrode body 20. |
