PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a domain wall displacement type magneto-optical recording medium which does not require the restrictions of a modulation system and in which the occurrence of a ghost signal is suppressed without complicating a reproducing device, and to provide a method and a device for reproducing the same. SOLUTION: In the domain wall displacement type magneto-optical recording medium provided with a magnetic domain wall displacement layer, a filtering layer and a memory layer, the filtering layer is composed of an amorphous alloy of a rare-earth element consisting of only either of Tb or Dy and an element of the iron group. The intermediate layer has a film thickness of between 7 nm or more and 20 nm or less, a Curie temperature lower than that of the filtering layer by 20 deg.C or less and is provided between the filtering layer and the memory layer.
