PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical exchange device, with which exchange operation can be performed timewisely parallel to the optical signal of the same wavelength as that of an optical signal to be broadcasted. SOLUTION: An optical switch 203 is provided with (n) input ports 2071 ...207n for inputting the optical signals of the same wavelength supplied from respective device input ports 2021 ...202n , (n) ordinary output ports 2081 ...208n by output destinations and one port 209 for broadcast output. On the output side of the port 209 for broadcast output, a wavelength converter 206 is arranged for converting the wavelength different and the converted optical sign is inputted to one of optical switches 2051 ...205n corresponding to device output ports 2041 ...204n . The (n) ordinary output ports 2081 ...208n are connected to the other side. Thus, the optical signal to be broadcasted after wavelength conversion and an ordinary optical signal are multiplexed in the wavelength and outputted from the prescribed device output port 204. |
