PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reliable data transfer while executing retransmission control in real time from a data reception side by using a plurality of isochronous channels in a device equipped with an IEEE1394 bus or an interface such as an USB. SOLUTION: In an information transfer device equipped with a transmission path having a transfer mode wherein the transfer quantity (bandwidth) of information within a fixed time is guaranteed, a plurality of logical communication paths (channels or pipes) 17 and 18 are ensured, and one of them is used as an information (data) transfer communication path 17, and simultaneously another communication path is used as an information transfer control communication path 18.
