PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent pranksters' calls and insistent sales calls, and to help private firms or small-size firms develop into a good shape, and to reduce employments of receptionists and associated costs. SOLUTION: A telephone answering service equipment reproduces a voice very close to real human voice using a recording and reproducing technology and a voice synthesizing technology, and immediately responds to a telephone call by appropriately selecting a response message by manual operation while listening to what the other party is speaking. Thus, the telephone answering service equipment provides a telephone answering service which includes the reception of messages, eliminating the need for the person's answering the phone, for individuals, private firms, or small-size firms.
