The time control device has a system clock pulse generator providing uniform system clock pulses (T1), received by a programmable clock divider (TT) providing output clock pulses (T2) corresponding to a required time pattern, fed to an event control (ES). An Independent claim for a time control method for a transmitter and/or receiver in a mobile station for mobile communications is also included.
