New polyurethane elastomer, useful as sound proofing and shock absorber, prepared from isocyanate, polyol and sterically hindered diol

Polyurethane elastomer (A) prepared from at least one each of: (I) isocyanate; (II) polyol; (III) catalyst; and (IV) sterically hindered diol. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) method of preparing (A) by reacting (I)-(IV); and (b) molded article with the following material properties: loss factor 0.3-1; setting temperature -30 to 70[deg]C; rebound elasticity 0-15%; density 100-1100 kg/m3>; load-bearing strength 0.01-0.5 N/mm2>; breaking strength 0.2-2 N/mm2>; extension at break 300-500% and mold residue 1-5%.
