PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memento with which a pet is directly imagined and felt by touching it with a hand. SOLUTION: For the memento, the footprint of the pet is formed of a recessed part 4 and a surface where the name 11 of the pet and a memorial day 12 are entered is provided. The manufacturing method is composed of the process of molding a manufacturing mold on the basis of an original mold 5 for which the footprint of the pet is formed of the recessed part 4, the process of casting a product 10 provided with the surface where the footprint is formed of the recessed part 4 by using a molded casting mold 9 and the process of entering the name 11 of the pet and the memorial day 12 on the surface where the footprint is formed.
