PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the sound permeability of the receiver part of a portable electronic device, to enhance its sound quality, to increase its output level, and to enhance its waterproof function. SOLUTION: An air-permeable waterproof sheet 25 is pasted on the inner surface of the receiver part 6 in which sound passage holes 18 are bored and formed in such a way that the periphery of the receiver part is left. A waterproof packing 21 which surrounds the waterproof sheet is installed so as to come into contact with the inner surface of the receiver part. A loudspeaker 22 is installed in a state that it presses the waterproof packing.
